The BCNH Celebration 2026 brought together community leaders, local businesses, and families for an evening centered around connection, recognition, and purpose. Hosted by Building Community in New Hampshire (BCNH), the event highlighted the organization’s work supporting refugee resettlement and helping individuals and families establish safe, stable, and fulfilling lives in the state.
Throughout the event, speakers and honorees shared stories that reflected the strength and resilience of New Hampshire’s growing communities. It served as a reminder of how important it is to create welcoming environments where people from all backgrounds have the opportunity to thrive. The celebration also recognized individuals and organizations who are actively contributing to that mission, reinforcing the idea that meaningful change happens at the local level.

- Suraj Budathoki – Recipient of the Community Cornerstone Award, recognized for his journey from refugee camps in Nepal to serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, and for his work advancing human rights, peacebuilding, and inclusive communities.
- Stephen Duprey – Honored with the Pathways to Prosperity Award, acknowledging his decades of leadership in business, economic development, and civic service throughout New Hampshire.
- Senator Jeanne Shaheen – Recipient of the Community Impact Award, recognized for her longstanding commitment to New Hampshire residents through her leadership in the U.S. Senate.
- Letizia Ortiz – Also honored with the Community Impact Award, recognized for her extensive work in immigration services and advocacy for immigrant and refugee communities.
